We now stock a wide range of foods. There are tins and jars including soups and mayonnaise. We also have a range of fruit and vegetables and you can also order bread, cakes, milk, cream and butter.
There is also a range of locally produced sausages, bacon, cheese, butter, ham and pies. The eggs are free range and come from Burrington. The butter, cheese, bacon, ham and sausages are from mid- Devon.
The pies and pasties, from Wessex Pantry, come from West Devon and the ingredients are locally sourced from Devon and, horror of horrors, across the border in Cornwall! See the range here.
We have deliveries from Chulmleigh Bakery on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. If you would like to taste real bread then place an order with us. They also supply us with cakes, “all day breakfast” and pasties.
Fresh milk, butter and cream is delivered on Tuesday and Saturday.
In case we run out of fresh products we also keep supplies of frozen goods – vegetables, sausages, pizzas, ice cream and farm produced burgers.
Not feeling well? We have everyday remedies such as Ibuprofen and plasters. (with the closure of the shop at Chulmleigh surgery we are looking to increase the range of medical goods)
Can’t kick the habit? Yes, we have cigarettes, tobacco etc.
And if desperate to contact somebody we also stock stamps and envelopes. Just ask at the counter.
In case you run out we always have an extra supply of milk, from mid-Devon (not a national company that is mean to its producers!!!)
Also, remember that Pickards have a supply of various household goods from toilet rolls to washing powder.
